Get ready for a masterclass in beautiful, feedback-drenched chaos. Flipper, the legendary San Francisco pioneers of noise-rock and slow-burn punk, are bringing their iconic sound to the most intimate and vibey stage in New Jersey: Randy Now’s Man Cave.

For a venue run by Randy Ellis—a man who spent decades booking the likes of Nirvana and The Replacements at City Gardens—hosting Flipper is a full-circle moment. Flipper didn’t just play the punk scene; they slowed it down, stretched it out, and famously influenced a generation of "misfit kids," most notably Kurt Cobain, who famously wore a self-drawn Flipper T-shirt during Nirvana’s first Saturday Night Live appearance.

Why You Can’t Miss This: Flipper has always been a band of beautiful contradictions. While the rest of the 80s punk scene was racing at 200 BPM, Flipper dared to be heavy, sludge-filled, and gloriously "shambolic." From the anthem "Sex Bomb"—a song that can last five minutes or fifty depending on the mood—to the gritty, existential truth of "Life is the Only Thing Worth Living For," their music is an experience rather than just a setlist.

The 2026 Lineup: The current incarnation of the band keeps the flame alive with original founding drummer Steve DePace. Joining the legends on this run are some of the most respected names in the underground.

  • Matt Korvette (Pissed Jeans) on vocals, bringing a ferocious new energy to the front.
